So my modem went out AGAIN this weekend - it is a sad fact that I have Comcast programed into my cell phone - so now they have called my modem's issue intermittent connection (or POS as I like to call it...piece of shit)  Comcast will be here between 8-10am to fix the damn thing come hell or high water.

In other news, Loaf tried to eat my chin last night - could be he thought I was a big ol' piece of pounce or something - should not have given him the catnip mouse to play with before bedtime.  He is now starting at me - it is rather unnerving.  I feel like I'm in a cartoon.

Big honking Congrats to A-M who is heading out to Santa Barbara (our old stomping grounds!!  well never at the same time since she started the year I graduated - but still) to head up her own LUSH store - yummy stuff!!  Major woo hoos darling!!

Saturday I did a park clean up for an advanced Earth Day celebration - Jeni B and I were climbing under pine trees picking up the most random crap ever.  We found dolls with no feet, feet with no bodies (dolls of course - and no not the same ones that didn't have the feet), tons of ham bones - a little welcome sign stuck in the ground (I hope the Keebler's aren't too annoyed that I tossed it).  What we didn't find and both were a little bummed about were any guns, drugs or anything edgy...In hindsight, I'm glad we didn't but it still would have made for a great story.  Also, we able to sign up today for a lo-impact water arobic class at the park district this summer - starting in June - should be great work for my legs without worry of jostling the clot.

Loaf is still staring at me - must go it is creeping me out.

Maid to order

I know you are waiting on pins and needles - my blood levels were 2.0 today.  Better than 1.5....not as good as 2.5.  The doctor has kept me on the same medicine schedule for the next two weeks - if I can keep my blood up during that time, I will go to once a month visits.  He also told me he didn't want to do an ultrasound on my leg until August (6 months after the initial clot).  Though here is an interesting bit....I've been having pains in my leg - different from the clot, but very achy and uncomfortable.  He wants me to drink a glass of tonic water every night before I go to bed because tonic water....there is something in there that will relax my muscles....I would have said, "yeah, gin" if he hadn't specifically told me that I had to leave the gin out.  Sob!!!!!Wail!!!!!Gnashing of teeth!!!!

Loaf has been a very good house guest....well except for eating my beef stroganoff the other day when my back was turned...that was gross.  He is shedding like a mofo though - I mean it's bad. My wood floors look like I have shag carpeting on them despite sweeping every day.

And speaking of sweeping - I worked on cleaning my my front entry way to my part of the condo building tonight.  One of the board members ran into the "representative" of the "management group" for the renters in our building (quick back story - of the 30 units in my building, 13 of the units are rentals that the developer couldn't unload - so some are under his name, some are under other names - but they are all that sneaky developer's drama) so the rep told our president that several of the renters were complaining that the stairs weren't vacuumed or the floors swept....and the president told her we would be more than happy to have a cleaning service come 1-2 times a month, but that until the owners of the rental units paid the over $7K in back assessments we were in a pickle.  That shut her up. (and yes we are already on the legal road to get the assessments paid)  but I figured I could pitch in and clean a little - so I swept my entry way (which is the biggest entryway of the whole damn building thank you very much) and windexed the windows.  I went to work on the entryway on the other side of me and let me tell you - a bunch of crack heads must live on that side - because they have totally messed up the walls moving furniture in and out of the building (and all was repainted back in October)  tons of mud from the dogs that live on that side....now i've had people move in and out on my side and there are dogs too - and my side is all pretty. Weird. Dirty bastards.

the chipotle burrito that I had been craving for a few days, and finally succumbed to, was in retrospect a very very bad idea.  I actually felt that way the moment the last bite passed my lips.

Hey Mambo

An old post from eleven days ago that I started before my modem (yes the new modem) crapped out.  Roux Comcast!!!!!!!

So this will be a three part post - happy, grr and happy again - got to leave you wanting to read the blog again.

I went to a new dentist the other dat - and they were AWESOME!!  It was so cool.  They had this huge video screen on in front of me that allowed me to see the camera they had in my mouth taking photos and showing me where in my mouth I needed work etc etc.  They were so nice, got my teeth looking fabulous AND I got a tooth brush at the end.  My old dentist never gave me a toothbrush.  He also did a crap job on one of my fillings.  So in conclusion, I highly recommend my dentist.

The next day I went to get my blood thinness tested.  I had been at a good level for a few weeks - well not so much anymore and I dropped(read my blood thickened like a mofo) for no apparent reason.  So the doctor told me to double my medication for a few days to get my levels back up there.  So I've been doing that - but the past day or two a spot above my knee has started to hurt.  I am going back tomorrow to see how my blood is and to see if we can run another ultrasound to see if a) the clot is gone or b) it's still there and moved.

Loaf has been visiting while his family is on spring break.  We've been tripping the lights fantastic - well Ok not really.but we have been snuggle bunnies...well Ok I like to snuggle, he puts up with it for a bit....ah, males!  

Miss Lis has had a rather rough go of it.  She explains it much better than I ever could.  Take a moment and send a positive thought out to her.  This not being able to fly because I may endanger my life with the blood clot thing is really bringing me down man.  I want to hug Lis is person, I want to see Andrea all round with baby, I want to see my Grandmother - I want, I want, I want.....nice..what's next me going around pointing to things in people's hands and screaming "mine?"   I've been spending lots of time with the toddler known as Finn - he is teaching me the way.

Spent a nice Easter with the parents - Mom made a great meal, got some great kitchen things in my basket...looking forward to using them ASAP.

There is more, but my battery is wearing out (both computer and body) so I will sign off and will be back tomorrow to fill you in on the doctors.
